The SoilsWorldwide project and the associated SoilPIC project are presented by Cranfield University as a freely accessible educational resource for all to consult. It is intended that SoilsWorldwide become a world-class reference source for pedology and soil science. SoilsWorldwide is associated with Cranfield's World Soil Survey Archive and Catalogue (WOSSAC), representing here online the photographic collection of the archive, SoilPIC.

There is an ongoing need to seek sponsorship and funds for this unique and important archive and collection; to maintain and develop the collections and importantly to improve public access to them - such as we have done with this website.
